Internship Opportunities

  • American Indian Studies provides internal internships to students who wish to work in American Indian/Native American Studies, curriculum development, tribal service, and technologies.
  • CalNAGPRA offers students training and experience in the process of returning of ancestral remains and cultural materials to tribes in accordance with laws pertaining to the Native American Graves Protection Act.
  • Fresno American Indian Health Project has internship opportunities for students who would like to work in the areas of health services, nutrition, gerontology, and education and educational tutoring.
  • Fresno State's American Indian Programs & Services, Cross Cultural and Gender Center facilitate student learning experiences through program and event coordination in support of American Indian representation at Fresno State.
  • Fresno State's Office of Recruitment and Outreach accepts student interns to assist with K-12 outreach and the annual Native American Youth Conference.
  • The Native Student Club NEUM NASA is a student organization open to all Indigenous and non-Indigenous students. They sponsor activities and host events to help raise awareness for a better understanding of the Native American community by promoting mutual respect among all people.
  • One Fire Associates is committed to providing quality and culturally grounded evaluation, research, capacity building, and community mobilization for Tribal Nations and communities  to promote the quality of life for the people being served. (national organization)
  • Working with Tribes: American Indian Studies is a tribal serving program dedicated to supporting tribal sovereignty and self-determination. We work with individual students to work with tribal partners in a variety of areas of research and service.
