Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies
LGBTQ2+ Studies is a transformative program within the Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities Department, dedicated to critical scholarship, research, and practice in Queer Studies. Through this program, students learn critical knowledge about gender identities and sexualities, transnationally and intersectionally. Students use the expertise gained in the LGBTQ2+ Studies minor in their future education and careers, creating positive change within the Central Valley.
The LGBTQ2+ Studies Endowed Scholarship is the first scholarship at Fresno State dedicated to uplifting LGBTQ2+ Studies students and their future academic success. Students awarded the LGBTQ2+ Studies Endowed Scholarship will be provided financial support to complete their education and recognition of their academic achievements.
The LGBTQ2+ Studies Endowed Scholarship can only become a reality with community support. Every donated amount will go directly to our scholarship. The more funding we raise, the more scholarships we can give our LGBTQ2+ Studies students.
“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.” ― Audre Lorde
