Minor in Meteorology

The Meteorology Minor requires the successful completion of four meteorology/climatology courses within the Geography Department and three other elective courses that are drawn from Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geography, and Physics departments.

GEOG 5 - Introduction to Weather and Climate (3 units)
GEOG 111 - Meteorology (3 units)
GEOG 112 - Climatology (3 units)
GEOG 114  - Micrometeorology (3 units)

Electives (9 units)*: elect 9 units from the following list of courses:

CHEM 3A - Introductory General Chemistry (4 units)
CSCI40 - Introduction to Programming and Problem Solving (3 units)
EES 109 - Atmospheric Science (3 units)
EES 125 - Global Paleoclimates (3 units)
EES 167 - Oceans and Atmosphere and Climate (3 units)

*All courses must be passed with a letter grade of C or better to count as credit toward the undergraduate Minor in Meteorology.
